Part of Minuteman Park, the Connecticut State Veterans Memorial is in the same square as the Connecticut State Capitol Building, the Legislative Office Building, and the State Armory in Hartford, CT. The Memorial features a prominent granite colonnade structure around which are granite pavers and park benches that lead into Minuteman Park. The five columns in the colonnade represent each branch of the military. The Memorial honors the 1.3 million and counting Connecticut residents who have defended and continue to defend and serve our nation. Kronenberger & Sons was responsible for all demolition work, salvage of lights poles, benches and markers, cast-in-place concrete, construction of solid granite walls and structural colonnade pieces, electrical conduit, in-ground boxes, outlet boxes, new bituminous paving, curbs and pavement markings, granite pavers, thermal granite pavers, and all site improvements.
