The Stamford Superior Courthouse, unlike most district courts, hears cases of residents from two cities, Stamford and Norwalk, Connecticut. Stamford was settled in 1641, incorporated in 1949, and now has a population of around 130,000 as of 2017. Kronenberger & Sons made repairs to the courthouse’s front stone staircase and walkway. We tore up the previous walkway and set a new stone walkway. We removed the existing brick and stone masonry walls, plaza, stairs and ramps, installed new drainage systems, coatings, and waterproof membranes, and subsequently reinstalled all site features. We also installed metal handrails to the rear stairwell to meet ADA requirements.
