Through a competitive bidding process, the Town of East Lyme awarded Kronenberger & Sons Restoration the contract to erect a brand-new facility that would act as the Department of Water & Sewer Commission’s Headquarters.
Due to the sheer amount of boulders and harsh rocky terrain in the region, extensive site preparation was required to lay out the facility’s foundation. KSR acted as the general contractor and built the facility from the ground up, hiring out subcontractors for different elements of the project. Work included excavation, forms and foundations, concrete masonry, structural steel, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fenestrations, painting and finishes, and landscaping.
